About a year ago I returned home from living in Costa Rica and Mexico for four months. I settled back into my normal life in Colorado, playing with the pups, catching up with family & friends and working. As I worked on finding a regular routine being home, something in my soul always felt like I wasn’t where I was suppose to be.
It took me several months to really narrow down what I felt was missing and how I could solve it. As the world started to open back up from the pandemic, I knew that meant travel for work would become part of my routine again. Therefore, I couldn’t take off and live in another country for months on end. I also knew I had the pups to take into consideration. And so by chance of mere curiosity at the time, I began researching traveling around America full time and what that type of lifestyle would look like for us. After a few more months of research and planning, I realized that I could travel around America, working remotely, for less than the budget I spent monthly to live in Colorado. And from here I felt I had a plan to solve for what my soul was missing being back home, full time adventure.
I’ll be honest, some of these planning months I was held back by my own fear. Coming from someone who likes to jump out of airplanes in Australia, talks to strangers on subways in France, and has bungy jumped in New Zealand I couldn’t wrap my head around this fear. This is when I started to tell my my close circle what I was thinking of doing. And once I got it out, they all came together and helped me work through my fear, work through what needed to get done to get me and the pups ready to venture out and most importantly onto living my dream. Trust your universe.
From here, I bought a travel trailer to explore full time. I fell in love with the Jayco Jay Feather, the Jayco reputation and the white farmhouse interior design are what sold me in the end, it has the bones to make me feel like it would be a home for me and the pups. https://www.jayco.com/rvs/travel-trailers/2022-jay-feather/27bhb/
The travel trailer is considered a second mortgage and therefore, I officially own two homes! I celebrated this milestone with my wonderful circle of family, friends, neighbors, and a champagne toast.

And here we are the introduction of Betty – Our Home on Wheels! Betty came to me by many memories. Betty was my maternal grandma’s name, a dear friend’s Moms name and the OG Betty White. The Yukon I have named Enzo.
Shout out to our amazing photographer http://eddy photo.co/ for these pictures. It’s been so fun to figure out this journey with such talented friends and family.

My first home is rented out thanks to https://thousandhillsproperties.com/. A team I consider family at Thousand Hills. I’m a firm believer in you choose who your family is.
The pups and I will be on the road for at least another five months, and with how much we’re loving this lifestyle, I think we will be traveling much longer. The pups are doing really well and have fallen in love with Betty and our new adventures.

We are officially on the road now for 10 weeks. I have learned a lot of lessons, many of which I want to share on this forum. Because I have yet to meet someone who is traveling similar to what I am doing and want to help fellow travelers.
